Presents a brief description of the importance of both nature and nurture to the developing self. Neuroscience research supports specific ways individuals can provide an “enriched environment” and encourage the development of positive patterns that will enhance their own or their children’s quality of life. Practical strategies, based on this research, will be discussed.
