Our presentations are designed to provide information, encourage insight, and learn psychological principles and strategies to guide you to make powerful changes. We are passionate about developing customized presentations, however also have prepared presentations ready to facilitate. Some of our topics are listed below.

All presentations we design can be facilitated as an interactive workshop or a presentation followed by a discussion. They are written and facilitated by clinically licensed mental health providers who specialize in the topic presented. The workshops and presentations are developed using current‬ social and psychological research as well as the facilitators’ professional experience. ‭An exercise in progressive muscle relaxation can be added to the beginning or end of each‬ ‭presentation or workshop.

Body and Brain Connection

This is a workshop designed to help individuals understand the mind-body‬ ‭connection, raise awareness of the connection between mind and body, and‬ ‭provide information to empower people to take action to improve the quality of‬
‭their lives.

The Impact of the COVID Pandemic on Older Adults

This is a workshop designed to help individuals understand the mind-body‬ ‭connection, raise awareness of the connection between their mind and body, and‬ provide information to empower people to take action to improve the quality of‬ their lives. The presenter specializes in and focuses on older adults.

Loss and Bereavement

“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a‬ loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild‬ ‭yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again, but you will‬ ‭never be the same. Nor should you be the same nor would you want to.”‬

Loss is a universal life experience. We have all grieved at various points in our‬ lives. This talk will explore loss, common experiences of loss, as well as ways to‬ heal and rebuild when loss occurs.‬

Nurturing Nature

(2 Weeks)

Presents a brief description of the importance of both nature and nurture to the developing self. You will learn how neuroscience research supports specific ways you can provide an “enriched environment” and encourage yourself to develop positive patterns that will enhance the quality of your life or your child’s life. Practical strategies, based on this research, are discussed.

‭Managing Anxiety in Dating & Relationships

Dating and relationships can cause anxiety for many reasons. During this presentation you will learn ways to consider your needs and priorities‬, identify some issues that may be causing your anxiety, develop coping skills and build confidence and self esteem in dating and in relationships.

Managing Work Stress

This workshop discusses work stress from a unique perspective. It helps you understand the importance of feeling safe, gaining insight into yourself, developing a healthy mindset and identifying the source of the problem. Worksheets that coincide with the presentation are provided that guide you to increase understanding of your work stress and use the Thriving Model Decision Making Matrix to reduce work stress.

Resilience in the Golden Years

This presentation will explore the struggles individuals face as they age in‬ ‭America. You will learn to explore and build upon the many aspects of‬ yourself and the roles you have in your life. You will be empowered to tap into the strengths you have been developing throughout your life and to see the power and beauty in aging.

Self-care for Caregivers

Caring for others can be a full-time job. Although it is extremely rewarding to provide care for a loved one, it frequently takes a toll on the caregiver. Caregivers often forget to take care of themselves. This workshop will guide you to explore your needs as a caregivers,barriers to getting those needs met, as well as methods of self-care specifically for‬ ‭caregivers.‬

A powerful series of parenting workshops which help parents to understand‬ identity development, assess their child’s functioning, and learn the areas that‬ need to be nurtured to help their child thrive.

Under Pressure

Many adolescents feel extreme pressure during the college process which can‬ ‭cause significant mental health issues to amplify or emerge. This presentation is‬ designed to help parents understand some of the causes of this pressure and how‬ they can help reduce it. It also discusses identity development and the crucial role‬ developing a solid identity plays in helping adolescents manage pressure and‬ ‭succeed socially, emotionally, and academically in college.

Understanding Mental Health Treatment

‭This workshop provides education about what mental health treatment is and‬ ‭guides consumers to identify high quality and effective mental health treatment.

Understanding and Managing Anxiety

This presentation teaches you the physiology of anxiety and the foundations for creating an enriched‬ ‭environment to reduce your anxiety. Evidence based strategies to reduce anxiety are reviewed.

Understanding and Managing Anxiety in a Classroom Setting

This presentation discusses the physiology of adolescent anxiety and the foundations for creating an enriched environment to reduce anxiety in a classroom setting. Evidence based strategies to reduce anxiety in a classroom setting are provided.
